ITINERARY

Day 1

Upon your arrival to Madrid Airport, your private driver will meet you at the arrivals lounge for a transfer to your hotel. After relaxing and freshening up, meet your private driver and local host and enjoy A Private Segway Tour of Madrid The tour will take where other transportation won´t (tour buses, taxis, automobiles etc.). Riding a Segway is a unique and fun way of riding "gliding" through the best visual and historic parts of the city. Bring your camera and enjoy. Evening at leisure.

Day 2

After breakfast, meet your private driver and the guide/author and embark on The “Hidden Madrid” Insiders Tour with author Mark Besas. Want to go beyond the famous monuments and sights and explore a different Madrid? Then try the Hidden Madrid Tour which will take you through the streets of Madrid revealing the less commonly known facets of the city. You will delve into the stories, legends and anecdotes that lie hidden behind the streets, cafes, buildings, statues, monuments and odd nooks of the capital. Learn the fascinating story behind Galileo’s “impossible” statue; eat pastries made and served to you through a revolving turntable by cloistered nuns; discover a medieval wall hidden in an underground parking lot; learn why Velázquez’s tomb hasn’t been found, and visit the home of “Pérez the Mouse”, Spain’s very own tooth fairy. Mark... A dual USA / Spanish citizen, Mark was born and reared in Madrid. In 2007, Mark wrote the guide Hidden Madrid (see www.hiddenmadrid.es), penned in both English and Spanish. The book has been so successful that in less than a year three editions have been printed. Mark is also a film director and writer, winning over 40 international awards and being nominated for the Spanish Goya Awards and pre-selected for the Oscar Awards. Rest of the day at leisure. And, in the early evening meet your private driver and enjoy a Flamenco Show in one of the best venues in the city. With roots tracing from Andalusian, Islamic, Sephardic and Gypsy origins, flamenco is a combination of intricate guitar playing, powerful singing ranging from the exuberant to the sorrowful, and passionate yet graceful dancing. A visit to Spain without a flamenco experience is not complete…Witness the authentic passion of Flamenco.

Day 3

After breakfast, meet your private driver and the guide for "An In-Depth Tour of the Prado Museum" No one would dispute the Prado's claim to house one of the world's greatest collections of paintings. Over 8,600 in number and with a value beyond price, the paintings often overshadow the Museum's other works. But the Prado is not limited to paintings alone. It was conceived as a museum of painting and sculpture and has large collections of drawings (over 5,000), engravings (2,000), coins and medals (close to 100), over 700 sculptures (both complete and fragments), and almost two thousand objets d’art. Because space is limited, the museum displays only one seventh of its paintings.

Day 4

Morning and afternoon at leisure. In the evening, meet your private driver and your host and enjoy a Closed Doors Visit to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, with our football expert. Whilst Real Madrid offers its own guides, we offer a truly Insiders Visit, working closely with a gentleman who works in football and knows all the goings on behind the scenes.

Day 5

Day at leisure. Enjoy your day in Madrid wandering the streets on your own, visiting some of its famous monuments or museums and/or doing some shopping!

Day 6

Check out of your hotel and have a private transfer to Madrid Airport where you will board your flight home…
