Location

Perfectly assembling among the sloping hills of the Chianti wine area, COMO Castello Del Nero is located about 40 minutes from Florence International Airport. With its 700 acres of centuries-old cypress trees and impressive gardens, this oasis of tranquility is only 30 minutes from the center of vivacious Florence and Siena, whereas the hotel also offers daily shuttle service to one or the other town. Just a few kilometers away is the picturesque town Tavarnelle Val di Pesa.

Accommodation

There are 50 rooms and suites at COMO Castello Del Nero, each designed by Paola Navone to reflect an airy, pared-back aesthetic. Interiors are spacious and cool-toned, with 19 Estate Rooms, 13 Tavarnelle Rooms, 10 Tavarnelle Suites, three Loft Suites and three Heritage Suites, many of which overlook the surrounding hills and lakes. The COMO Suite and COMO Terrace Suite offer the ultimate in Tuscan accommodation, with extensive living space, rare 18th-century frescoes, and panoramic views.

Services

The Michelin-starred La Torre restaurant is located in the original stables of the castle in the winter, transferring to the garden terrace in summer. All menus are overseen by Executive Chef, Giovanni Luca Di Pirro. The estate has its own vineyard, bee
hives and olive groves. COMO Castello Del Nero also features two informal restaurants: La Taverna and during the summer months, the Pavilion. In addition, there are tennis courts, a heated outdoor swimming pool as well as a COMO Shambhala Retreat. This is where you will feel healed and inspired by the deep expertise for which COMO Shambhala is known, including complimentary morning yoga, and significant, therapeutic massages.
