This is a place where you can spy on ostriches, have a 20-course meal courtesy of Michelin-starred Catalan chef Paco Pérez, and reach all of Berlin’s best bits in an easy stroll.
Das Stue is located in Berlins central Tiergarten disctrict, right within the prestigious Embassy Quarter, adjacent to the 210 acre Tiergarten Park and literally facing the Berlin Zoo. Some of the most famous cultural institutions like the Culture Forum, the Philharmonic and the New National Gallery are only minutes away, and for the shopping enthusiasts, both Kurfürstendamm, with the legendary KaDeWe, and Friedrichstraße are within easy reach.
Based on Urquiola's concept, LVG Arquitectura S.L.P. outfitted the hotel’s 80 guestrooms in subdued modern decor that emphasizes polished surfaces and rich fabrics. The rooms are designed to recall the open spaces of villa environments, complemented by high ceilings, hardwood floors and views of the adjacent Tiergarten.
The hotel’s largest suite - Bel Etage Suite, with separate living and sleeping area covering a total size of 110m² with 5 metre high ceilings. It is an ideal place to relax, regenerate and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Das Stue.
It's unsurprising that elegant restaurant Cinco earned a Michelin star within a year of opening – master chef Paco Pérez has already racked up four of the accolades. A Catalan by birth, this is Pérez’s first culinary outpost away from Spanish shores; seafood is plucked from the waters of Cap de Creus, near the chef’s Miramar restaurant. Expect to be treated to culinary fireworks: foie-ice powder and the ilk. For those times when foams and jus won’t do, there’s the more low-key Casual, which serves elegant Mediterranean comfort food and tapas.
