Located in a former Church, Chefs Sergio Herman and Nick Bril created The Jane restaurant where they successfully showcase why food is their religion.
In a mythical location in Antwerp, in the chapel of a former military hospital, Michelin-star chef Sergio Herman and chef Nick Bril created their “fine dining meets rock ’n roll” restaurant vision. The unique, high-end, contemporary restaurant with international allure where experience is key. The Jane is located on the ground floor whille the Upper Room Bar at the Mezzanine is the place where you can enjoy music, simpler dishes, special beers and unique cocktails.
The food is innovative, surprising and light. Together, the two creative chefs have devised an exquisite tasting menu that reflects a cuisine as controversial as the restaurant in the church: exotic and accessible, well thought and pure. Oysters with verbena and Champagne granita, roe and swirls of samphire are served with the artistry of a De Beers necklace.
Sergio Herman was the owner of 3-Michelin star restaurant Oud Sluis in Netherlands where Chef Nick Bril was his right hand. In 2013 they decided to close the successful restaurant and to open The Jane together. In just 3 years The Jane received 2 Michelin stars and became the most recognized restaurant in Belgium.
