ITINERARY

Day 1 SYDNEY-CAIRNS-LIZARD ISLAND-AYERS ROCK

DAY 1-3 SYDNEY

Sydney provides a natural hub for any Australian journey. This vibrant port offers a wealth of cultural attractions, no less famous than Sydney Opera House. You will be accommodated in hotel Four Seasons Sydney.

DAY 4-7 CAIRNS

You will be met by your driver in the reception area of the hotel for your transfer by private vehicle to Sydney Airport. On arrival at Cairns airport you will be met by a representative and transferred by private vehicle to Hotel Silky Oaks Lodge. Suggested excursion Silky Oak Safari Together with our experienced guides cross the Daintree River and explore ancient pristine rainforests Cape Tribulation swimming at Miall Beach crocodile and bird spotting on the Daintree River and an Australian BBQ lunch beside a secluded forest billabong

DAY 8-12 LIZARD ISLAND

You will be met by your driver in the reception area of the hotel for your transfer by private vehicle to Cairns Airport. On arrival at Lizard Island you will be met by a representative and transferred by private vehicle to Resort. You will be accommodated at Lizard Island Resort. Suggested excursion Insider Access - Lizard Island Research Station Tour Vehicle transfers between resort and research station. Personal tour of lab and aquarium facilities by one of the station directors, with plenty of opportunity for discussion of reef issues. Branded and reef related merchandise is available for sale. Lizard Island Research Centre attracts marine scientists from around the globe in their quest to conserve and manage the world's coral reef systems. Led by one of the Directors of the Island's Research Station, watch Australian and international marine scientists at work and have a first hand look at a range of marine research projects, many of which utilise the state of the art seawater aquarium system enabling controlled experiments with living reef organisms.

DAY 13-16 AYERS ROCK

You will be met by your driver in the reception area of the hotel for your transfer by private vehicle to Lizard Island Airstrip for your flight to Ayers Rock. On arrival at Ayers Rock you will be met by a representative and transferred by private vehicle to Hotel Longitude 131°. Sugeested excursions Cultural Centre, Uluru & Kantju Gorge Sunset After arriving at Longitude 131° and settling in, meet in the Dune House for approximately 4pm departure to the Cultural Centre where you will learn the cultural and spiritual meanings of Uluru & Kata Tjuta. Afterwards you will travel to Uluru, where we will take a short walk into Kantju Gorge. On arrival at the gorge we will serve refreshments 'inside' Uluru and watch the sunset. You will return to Longitude 131° at approximately 7.15pm. On your return, relax in the Dune House over pre-dinner drinks and canapés before enjoying a gourmet dinner with your fellow travellers or for a special occasion a private dinner by the pool or on the Dune Top. Kata Tjuta & Walpa Gorge and Table 131° Depart Longitude 131° at approximately 6am bound for Kata Tjuta. Upon arrival you will begin your journey with a guided tour of Walpa Gorge, where the natural history of Kata Tjuta is explained in great detail, learning how eons of weathering and continental upheaval have created what is seen today. You will return to Longitude 131° at approximately 10am. Spend your afternoon at leisure or take the opportunity to enjoy any of the optional tours such as acamel ride, harley ride or helicopter tour over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Uluru Sunrise Base Tour Depart the Dune House at approximately 6.00am for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to view the sun rising over Uluru. You'll then continue to the Mutitjulu Waterhole to view cave paintings and hear of the Kuniya/Liru Tjukurpa story. You will return to the Dune House at 9.15am for a well-earned continental buffet and a la carte cooked breakfast.

DAY 17

You will be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home.
